Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Telehealth and in-person services are offered.
If your pregnancy related ache or pain is not resolved after implementing the advice and exercises from the videos, please talk to your midwife at your next appointment about a referral to our team.
Postnatal Physiotherapy Assessment Clinic
All women who have given birth with the assistance of forceps, have a longer pushing time or have a baby greater than 4kg will be seen on the maternity ward and then offered a 6 week postnatal telehealth appointment. This is so we can ensure you are recovering well and have all the information, advice and exercises to support your recovery. If a face-to-face appointment is required, the Physiotherapist can facilitate this.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
This face-to-face and telehealth service is offered to any women in their pregnancy or postnatally that has:
- Urinary or faecal urgency or incontinence
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Voiding dysfunction
- A 3rd or 4th degree perineal tear
A referral will be made for you by your midwife or the Physiotherapist. Please make sure you talk about the issues you are having at your next appointment or email the Physiotherapy team after watching the video.
We have strong evidence about Physiotherapy’s role in supporting you during your pregnancy and beyond. Please be in contact as to how we can best support you.
