What happens next

Through this transition, we are aiming to retain as many of the existing systems and processes as we can, both for current employees and patients. However, there are some things that will change on Day 1 due to the transfer of management and employment to Monash Health. These are summarised below, and further detail will be provided at our upcoming information sessions.

People

  • Increased Senior Medical Staff onsite* – There will be an increased Senior Medical Staff presence on site Monday – Friday, in line with Monash Women’s and Newborn services across all our campuses.
  • Monash Health uniforms, badges, salary packaging
  • Paediatric medical attendance at all CS and operative births

Processes

  • UR management site and associated workflows (e.g. meal ordering) – Workflow posters will be available from Day 1
  • Expanded outpatient and theatre templates with dedicated maternity and gynae sessions*
    • Monday – gynae clinic
    • Tuesday – maternity clinic
    • Wednesday – gynae clinic
    • Thursday – maternity clinic
    • Friday – maternity clinic
  • EPC documentation on paper, visits scheduled in Donnell – More information coming soon

Systems

  • New email address – From 6 February, you will have access to your new email address, which will take the format of Name.Surname@monashhealth.org.
  • New phone numbers in outpatient clinic – More information coming soon
  • K2 centralised monitoring implemented – More information coming soon
  • UKG Dimensions (rostering/timecards) implemented  – Information on getting started with UKG Dimensions is available on the Knowledge Hub.
  • Transition to SMR – Day 1 referral management  – More information coming soon
  • New access to existing systems – BOS, IPM, Riskman, iMedX etc – More information coming soon

Infrastructure

  • Monash Health PCs, printers
  • Smart Pumps implemented in nursery
  • Monash Health signage – The current Women’s @ Sandringham signage will be replaced over the weekend of 4 and 5 February. Examples of the new signage are shown below.
