Prior to becoming a midwife, Natahl was a geologist with an interest in developing communities and isolated populations, which has translated into a passion for our CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) population of women. Natahl was previously a Clinical Midwife Specialist in the areas of Drug & Alcohol, and Mental Health. She is a member of the Australian College of Midwives, and a CAPEA registered Childbirth Educator and is currently working towards becoming an internationally certified Lactation Consultant. Her passion is engaging and empowering women throughout their maternity journey, so that midwives can work in partnership to achieve the best possible future for them and their families.

Dr Gagandeep Kaur

Gagandeep is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Monash Health. She has been working in Monash Health since 2011 and was working in Peninsula Health before that. She has over 13 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Australia and India. Gagandeep is interested in teaching obstetric and gynaecology trainees, and also mentors medical students.

Allison Deering

Jade Team | Maternity Team Leader | Midwifery | Bachelor of Nursing,(Monash) Grad Dip Mid (Latrobe), Master of Clinical Midwifery (Monash)

Allison is an Internationally recognised certified Lactation consultant, and has worked at Dandenong Hospital for 16 years, and prior to that, at St Georges and Box Hill Hospital as a midwife. Allison has been extensively involved with the Australian College of Midwives, at both a state and national level, including being State President for 6 years. She is currently a Fellow of the College of Midwives. Allison is passionate is continuity of care for pregnant women, and supporting midwives to work within their full scope of practice.

Dr Michelle Schlipalius
MBBS (Hons) Monash, FRANZCOG

Jade TeamMaternity Team Leader | Medical

Michelle works full time as a consultant obstetrician at Monash Health and is the Obstetric Unit Head at Dandenong Hospital. During her RANZCOG training she gained experience locally at Monash Health and The Mercy and spent her elective training years in Ireland and England. Michelle has a keen interest in our junior medical staff and is a RANZCOG training supervisor. She examines for the RANZCOG post-graduate written and oral exams and also facilitates on the Basic Surgical Skills Course. Michelle is very involved with obstetric emergency training and facilitates with Monash Health PROMPT, the Victorian Maternity Services Emergency Program and the Managing Obstetric Emergency and Trauma course (both in Australia, New Zealand and the UK). Michelle is also an instructor for the Generic Instructor Course managed by the Advanced Life Support Group in the UK. Michelle also has an appointment with Monash University teaching undergraduate medical students.
